101 Things About Me
1. I was born on Sept. 2, 1972 in Washington, PA.
2. My wife Sharon was born exactly one month after me, at the same hospital.
3. I did not meet my wife until I was 26 years old, and met her in Kansas City.
4. I have trouble remembering facts.
5. I have a masters degree in business administration.
6. I received a B.B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Iowa in 1994.
7. I grew up, for the most part, in Montrose, Iowa.
8. I love to read.
9. I often feel like I have overloaded my brain with information.
10. I have suffered from depression.
11. I am a fan of all sports teams from Pittsburgh, mostly the Steelers and the Pirates.
12. I enjoy going to PA, and I would like to live there again someday.
13. I have many interests, and I have trouble focusing on one at a time.
14. I like to golf, but I don't do it often, and I'm not very good.
15. ditto for fly-fishing.
16. I used to drink a lot of beer, but I don't drink much anymore.
17. I have always enjoyed working with computers in some capacity.
18. I had a dog names Rhoda when I was growing up.
19. I like to write, but don't do it too often.
20. My son, Dominic, is the most important thing to me in my life. I love him more than anything else.
21. I sometimes wonder if I'm a good father, but most of the time think that I am.
22. I absolutely hate smoking, and have never smoked in my life (except when I was an adolescent trying it out--yuck!)
23. Bizzarly, I think some women look sexy when they smoke. Still, I don't like it.
24. I have never been one primarily attracted to blonds, though my wife is blond.
25. I have trouble completing projects, I think mostly because I become interested in something else.
26. I don't do the dishes, laundry or house-cleaning nearly enough.
27. Sometimes I feel smart, other times I feel dumb. It's weird.
28. I like most movies that I watch. I can't really name a favorite of all time.
29. I used to really be into the Civil War. I'm not as into it as I used to be, but I still like it.
30. Gettysburg, PA is one of my favorite places to visit. I have been there several times.
31. I am much less afraid of dying than I am of having someone close to me die. Sometimes I think this is a selfish thought.
32. I am a Roman Catholic, though I don't agree with everything the church says.
33. As of this writing, I have never been west of Idaho.
34. I feel like I did not appreciate undergraduate college enough when I was there.
35. I really like pizza, tacos and chips.
36. Periodically, I try to live a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes I actually stick with it for a respectable amount of time.
37. I feel awesome after I exercise vigorously.
38. I love competition more than I love winning.
39. More than most everyone else, David Letterman can make me laugh.
40. Though I enjoy the early morning, I have trouble waking up and getting out of bed. I don't think I've awakened refreshed in years.
41. I often take naps.
42. Of all of the things that I wish I could do well, music is very high on the list.
43. I can't sing worth a damn.
44. I often take my wealth for granted.
45. I am really into the concept of family, and extended family. I wish I could see my relatives more often.
46. I don't shave nearly as often as I should.
47. I also don't get a haircut as often as I should.
48. The most I have ever been able to bench-press, so far, is around 200 pounds.
49. I get exhasperated with political parties, but tend to agree with the Democrats more than the Republicans.
50. I can't speak any foreign languages, though I would like to.
51. In high school, I played baseball and football, and sometimes ran on the track team.
52. I like maps.
53. Sometimes I like to be goofy.
54. I got my first part-time job when I was 18, at the UIHC shipping & receiving department.
55. I got my first full-time job when I was 23, at the UIHC business office.
56. I want to be a triathlete, but I need to learn how to swim.
57. I really enjoy my family's camp in Tionesta, PA, and the surrounding area.
58. I hate throwing up, but always feel better afterwards.
59. I like going to the movies better than watching movies at home.
60. I don't like spending money on shoes, coats or articles of clothing, though I do like to dress up.
61. I really enjoy crossword puzzles.
62. I love to play board games, but don't do it too often anymore. I will probably be able to play more often when Dominic gets older.
63. I used to be a lot more passionate about professional sports than I am now.
64. I miss my grandfather (Pappy), who died in July, 2000.
65. I believe that there is a God, though I have many questions.
66. I think that God 'wants' us to questions 'his' existence, because anything put through scrutiny is more pure.
67. I think that God is somewhat synonymous with love.
68. I'm pretty sure that my concept of heaven is nothing like what it actually is.
69. I've always wanted to read the Bible cover to cover, and have started it several times, but have never finished it.
70. I would rather be cold than hot.
71. I have no desire to live in Florida, or really even to visit. I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with the place, but I just don't feel compelled to go there.
72. I would love to visit Alaska, California, the New England states, and the Pacific Northwest.
73. I am frightened by snakes, but facinated by them also.
74. I have never eaten ketchup, mayonaise or mustard (at least since I can remember anything).
75. I love to celebrate Christmas in my parent's basement in Iowa.
76. I am a huge advocate of organ transplantation and donorship, mostly due to the fact that it is the reason I have been able to grow up with a father.
77. Statistics boggle my mind. I think that anyone can come up with statistics to fit any viewpoint.

79. I am not as lazy as people think I am.
80. I used to pray every night before falling asleep, but I don't anymore. I would like to start doing this again. I know that I should.

82. I have a slight fear of flying, but I still fly every once in awhile.
83. I am learning to be more of a handyman since I've owned a house (over three years now!)
84. I rely on my dad and father-in-law for a lot of advice and tips.
85. I am most afraid of losing my son. I would endure anything to prevent it.
86. I like the rain, except when I am looking forward to doing something that rain prevents.
87. I find it odd that I am now older than most professional athletes.
88. I often fret about my age. As of this writing, I am 32.
89. I wonder if I have Attention Deficit Disorder in some capacity. I wonder if everyone has it in some capacity.
90. I have dreamed of owning my own miniature golf-course, and have somewhat seriously looked into it at times.
91. I wish I could get my body weight down to 200 pounds, and maintain it at that level.
92. I have only lived in three states: Pennsylvania, Iowa and Missouri.

In addition to the above, I have been to the following states: West Virginia, Deleware, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska (only a few weeks ago for the first time), Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and Idaho. I think I may have been to Rhode Island, but I can't remember for sure. I have also been to Georgia, sitting on a plane on a runway, but I have never set foot on the ground.
94. I have only been to one other country: Mexico, and just for a few hours.
